Record broken

by Clevedon FWAC on

The previous 5 hour match record of 99lbs held by Kev Perry for a few decades has been broken.

On 28th January a small match was held between pegs 4 and 22 on the Kenn.

Sam Johnson on peg 13 caught 15 big bream and a rare 5lb 4oz chub to weigh a total of 110lbs 10oz.

What a fantastic venue we have.

Check out the photo page for this winters catches, they are incredible.

Sad Loss

by Clevedon FWAC on

The Clevedon Freshwater Angling Club was founded in 1956.

Bob Newton was one of those who were instrumental in setting up the Club and for 67 years was active in numerous ways ensuring the Club functioned as it should according to the Constitution.

As our Treasurer Bob was meticulous in managing our accounts, he was also our President.

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Bob passed away peacefully in Gloucester Royal Hospital last Friday evening (8th Sept) after being unwell for some time.

Our sincere condolences go to his family.

Further updates concerning a celebration of his life to follow.
