The club is extremely proud to announce that a bench has been installed just below Strode Road bridge in memory of our late President, Treasurer and Founding Member Bob Newton. Bob passed away a year ago.

The bench overlooks the River Kenn, a river he grew up on and loved so much.

We believe it’s a fitting tribute to his 67 years of service to the club and community who enjoy the river.

We would like to thank the Environment Agency for their cooperation and granting permission for the installation.
